Reusing and repurposing building materials offers stylish, quality, and affordable alternatives to new products.   The products and applications are wide ranging — from period sinks and plumbing trim to reclaimed wood for flooring and vintage door hardware.

Do not feel you need to replace everything.  You may have appliances, cabinets, flooring, fixtures that are worth keeping.

For those fixtures, appliances and materials you do wish to replace, consider posting your old items on Craigslist or consulting businesses like The RE Store that accept used materials for resale and offer green demolition and deconstruction services.
